The School Trip Schedule

Grade 8 Trip to the Sunny Hills Juice Factory. Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. From: Mr. Abernathy. Here is the schedule for the day. Please read it with your parents. I've added some notes from last year's trip.

7:00 Meet in front of the school. The bus will leave at 7:15 exactly. Please eat breakfast at home. (Note: last year, three students brought a whole birthday cake for breakfast on the bus. The cake did not survive the trip. Neither did the seats.)

8:45 We'll arrive at the factory. Everyone will get a visitor card and a paper hat. You will wear the hat all day. (Note: the hats are not frisbees.)

9:00 Tour of the orange room. You'll see how the machines wash and squeeze thousands of oranges every hour. Don't touch any buttons. (Note: one student touched a button last year. We all went home a little sticky.)

11:00 Juice tasting. Each student will try five juices in small cups. Five cups, not twenty. (Note: this year, the bus won't stop at every gas station on the way home.)

12:30 Lunch in the factory garden. Bring your own lunch and a bottle of water.

2:00 Gift shop. You can spend up to ten dollars. (Note: the factory cat is not for sale, and it doesn't want to come to our school.)

4:30 The bus will leave the factory. We'll be back at school at about 5:00. Parents, please be on time.
