Signs use short words that repeat a lot. Learn the ones that warn (caution, fragile, wet floor), direct (entrance, exit, one way) and prohibit (no smoking, keep out, private property). When you see a sign in English, read it aloud and try to guess what situation it warns about.
The entrance is on the left side of the building.
The door had a sign that said push.
The restaurant had a no smoking sign.
There was a for sale sign in front of the house.
