How to study this deck
This deck goes from basic emotions (happy, sad, angry) to more specific ones (overwhelmed, relieved, homesick). Practice saying how you feel with "I feel..." or "I am...". Also learn the pairs: -ed for what you feel and -ing for what causes it (bored and boring).
The trickiest words
- anxious: it means worried about something ahead, not eager for something (that is "eager").
- embarrassed: it means ashamed or awkward, not pregnant. A well-known false friend.
- homesick: it is used for someone who misses home or their country.
