¿Qué es Superlativos?
Los superlativos expresan el grado más alto dentro de un grupo. Con adjetivos cortos se añade the + -est (the tallest); con largos, the most (the most beautiful). Los irregulares son the best, the worst y the farthest.
Cuándo se usa
Los usas para hablar del mejor, el más grande, el más caro, etc.: "It is the biggest city in the country". Van con in (grupos, lugares) o of (conjuntos de cosas): "the best student in the class", "the best of all".
Errores y consejos si hablas español
- No olvides the: "She is the tallest", no "She is tallest" (salvo casos muy concretos).
- Con lugares y grupos usa in: "the oldest building in town", no "of the town".
- Con adjetivos que terminan en y, cambia por -iest: happy, the happiest.
