Estos modismos se oyen en oficinas, reuniones y entrevistas: "call the shots", "learn the ropes", "the bottom line". Aprende su significado real y úsalos en frases sobre tu propio trabajo. Son muy útiles para sonar natural en inglés de negocios, pero conviene no abusar de ellos en escritos muy formales.
Palabras que más cuestan
- learn the ropes: significa aprender lo básico de un trabajo nuevo: "It takes a month to learn the ropes".
- call the shots: es tener la autoridad de decidir: "Who calls the shots here?".
- back to the drawing board: significa que un plan falló y hay que empezar de nuevo.
