IN CHARGE OF: alguien tiene IN CHARGE OF cuando tiene AUTORIDAD, LIDERAZGO o CONTROL sobre algo o alguien. Es un cargo o una posicion de poder. "She is in charge of the marketing team" = ella dirige el equipo de marketing (ella es la jefa/responsable con autoridad). "Who is in charge here?" = ¿quien manda aqui? / ¿quien esta al mando? IN CHARGE OF = supervision, direccion, liderazgo. La preposicion siempre es OF — nunca "in charge for" ni "in charge with." "Responsible of" es uno de los errores de preposicion mas frecuentes en el ingles escrito de hispanohablantes, documentado extensamente en investigaciones de interlengua. La razon es clara: "responsable de" en espanol coincide estructuralmente con "responsible of" en la mente del aprendiz, lo que crea una transferencia negativa sistematica. Lo interesante es que este error persiste incluso a niveles muy altos de competencia (C1-C2), porque es una colocacion de alta frecuencia que se activa rapidamente antes de que el aprendiz tenga tiempo de aplicar la regla consciente. Investigaciones de corpus de escritura en ingles de hablantes nativos del espanol (incluidos documentos oficiales y textos academicos) muestran que "responsible of" aparece con una frecuencia sorprendentemente alta incluso en textos producidos por hablantes avanzados.
