"No time" = ninguna cantidad de tiempo. "No problem" = ningun problema. "No smoking" = prohibido fumar. Va ANTES del sustantivo (sin articulo). (2) Respuesta corta negativa: "No." (3) Enfasis: "There is no way" = de ninguna manera. "No" como determinante es equivalente a "not any" o "not a single".

"She is not ready" = ella no esta lista (niega el adjetivo "ready"). "I did not go" = no fui (niega el verbo). "Not now" = ahora no (niega el adverbio "now"). "Not only... but also" = no solo... sino tambien.

Error frecuente
Los errores mas frecuentes: (1) "She is no ready" = INCORRECTO. "Ready" es un adjetivo, no un sustantivo — debe negarse con NOT: "She is NOT ready." (2) "There is not parking" = INCORRECTO (suena extraño). Con sustantivos en estas construcciones, NO es mas natural: "There is NO parking." (3) "I have no time" (correcto) vs "I don't have time" (correcto) vs "I have not time" (INCORRECTO).
"There is ___ problem" — "problem" es sustantivo = NO problem. "She is ___ happy" — "happy" es adjetivo = NOT happy. "He did ___ finish" — "finish" es verbo = NOT finish (did not finish). Excepcion de memorizacion: "not any" = "no": "I have not any time" = "I have no time" = identico. Pero en el habla cotidiana, "no + sustantivo" es mas comun y natural que "not any + sustantivo".
Regla rápida
No + sustantivo (niega existencia: "no time", "no problem", "no money"). Not + verbo/adjetivo/adverbio (niega accion o descripcion: "not ready", "did not go", "not now").
