'That's a wrap' originates from early filmmaking, when the director would call out to wind up (wrap) the film reel after finishing a scene. Today it signals the end of any production day or project. 'Rap music' may share the same root — 'rap' in African-American slang meant to talk or converse rhythmically, long before it became a musical genre in the 1970s Bronx. The silent W in 'wrap' comes from Old English 'wrappian' (to wind around).
