"Have/get + objeto + participio pasado" = mandar que alguien haga algo, o sufrir que algo te ocurra. "I had my car repaired" = mande reparar mi coche (alguien mas lo reparo). "I repaired my car" = lo repare yo mismo. "I had someone repair my car" (have + persona + infinitivo sin to) = variante con agente expreso.
"We are having the new offices renovated" = estamos mandando renovar las nuevas oficinas (un equipo de construccion lo hace). FORMA: HAVE + sustantivo/pronombre + participio. Todos los tiempos posibles: "I am having my hair cut." / "She has had her report reviewed by a colleague." / "They will have the system upgraded next quarter." GET + OBJETO + PARTICIPIO: equivalente informal. "I got my car fixed" = "I had my car fixed." "He had his wallet stolen on the subway" = le robaron la cartera (no lo pidio — fue victima). "She got her phone broken during the presentation" = se le rompio el movil.

"I repaired my car" = lo repare yo. "She reviewed the report herself" = ella reviso el informe en persona. HAVE + PERSONA + INFINITIVO SIN TO: variante causativa donde el AGENTE (quien realiza la accion) se expresa explicitamente. "I had a technician repair the car" = le pedi a un tecnico que reparara el coche. HAVE + persona + bare infinitive = el agente va entre HAVE y el infinitivo (sin TO). "She had her assistant book the flights" = le pidio a su asistente que reservara los vuelos. GET + PERSONA + TO + INFINITIVO: lo mismo pero con GET, que REQUIERE TO: "I got a technician TO repair the car." DIFERENCIA: HAVE + persona + bare inf (sin to). GET + persona + to + inf (con to). MAKE + persona + bare inf: causativa FORZADA (la persona no tenia opcion). "The manager made the team work overtime" = el gerente obligo al equipo a trabajar horas extra.

Error frecuente
ERRORES FRECUENTES: (1) CONFUNDIR HAVE + participio (causativa) con HAVE + participio (presente perfecto): "I have repaired the car" = PRESENTE PERFECTO (yo lo repare). "I had the car repaired" = CAUSATIVA (alguien mas lo reparo). CAUSATIVA = HAVE + OBJETO + participio. (2) USAR TO CON HAVE CAUSATIVA: "I had a mechanic to repair the car" = INCORRECTO. HAVE + persona + bare infinitive (sin to). GET requiere TO: "I got a mechanic TO repair the car." (3) NO SABER SI ES ENCARGO O VICTIMA: "She had her bag stolen" = le robaron el bolso (victima). "She had her bag cleaned" = mando limpiar el bolso (encargo). (4) MAKE: "I made the car repaired" = INCORRECTO. MAKE causativa = MAKE + persona + bare infinitive: "I made the mechanic repair it."
Truco para recordarlo
LA FORMULA CAUSATIVA: HAVE + [objeto (cosa)] + [participio pasado]: "I had my car repaired." HAVE + [persona] + [bare infinitive (sin to)]: "I had a mechanic repair it." = Se quien lo hizo. GET + [objeto] + [participio]: "I got my car repaired." = Igual que HAVE, informal. GET + [persona] + [to + infinitivo]: "I got a mechanic to repair it." = Con TO.

GET + persona + TO + infinitivo = causativa con agente (GET requiere TO). "I had MY CAR repaired" (causativa). "I have repaired the car" (presente perfecto — yo lo repare).
El ingles usa los tres tipos segun el contexto: morfologico (fell = "make fall"), lexical (let, make, have, get), y perifrAstico (cause someone to do).
