Error tipico: "I have the possibility to study in the US." cuando quieres expresar algo positivo que quieres aprovechar. Correcto: "I have the opportunity to study in the US." "Possibility" es neutral; "opportunity" implica que es algo bueno y que debes o quieres tomarlo. Otro error: "There is an opportunity of rain." Incorrecto. La lluvia no es una oportunidad positiva. Correcto: "There is a possibility of rain."
Truco para recordarlo
"Possibility" = puede pasar (neutral, positivo o negativo). "Opportunity" = puedo aprovechar algo bueno (siempre positivo, invita a la accion). Si lo que puede ocurrir es algo bueno que quieres tomar, casi siempre es "opportunity". Si es solo una opcion o un riesgo, es "possibility".
